All About JTS Civil Engineering

Our business originally started back in 1982 when the current MD, Mr Trodden, traded as J T Services. There were only 2/3 employees at that time but our reputation was growing and most work at that time came from customer referrals.

The Company soon went from strength to strength and was incorporated in 1994 changing our name to JTS Civil Engineers. Our business has continued to grow and we have an established client base which includes water authorities, local authorities, housing associations and referrals from contractor networks who work with insurance companies.

The majority of our business comes from private individuals with 60% of our work coming from word of mouth referrals by people who trust that we are going to carry out work to the highest standard.

Meet The Team

John TroddenManaging Director
John splits his time between managing JTS Civil Engineers and dealing with complex domestic work in conjunction with all our commercial customers.

“We are extremely proud of the reputation we have built over the last 20 years. We pride ourselves of being the “can do” contractor that our customers can rely upon for any situation. All our engineers are WIAPS approved. Our teams are all equipped to ensure that no matter what service you require we can provide a solution.”

James TroddenDirector
James is responsible for all private and customer side leakage referrals received from water authorities and for our relationships with insurers and other contractors. He has implemented a number of processes, in conjunction with insurers, to facilitate the presentation of claims.

Mihai BalanOffice Manager
Mihai has over 10 years’ experience working in the water industry and oversees all administration work within the office. Mihai’s practical knowledge ensures that everything runs smoothly, enabling us to deliver a consistently high level of service.

“Our customers expect high standards of service from us as they have usually been recommended by someone they trust. I am often the first point of contact for customers and liaise with our engineers and surveyors to ensure each customer’s requests are carried out efficiently and with a minimum of difficulty.”

David GoughOperations Manager
David joined from Cunningham Lindsey Loss Adjusters and has been responsible for building relationships with insurers and their contractor networks. David has also implemented a number of new processes to enable JTS to continue to outperform our competitors on service and price.
